THE CALLINA BRIDAL FITTING GUIDE
Precision is the Secret to Elegance.
To ensure your custom gown fits like a second skin, we require professional measurements. Accuracy at this stage ensures a flawless silhouette and minimizes the need for local alterations later.
I. Instructions for the Client
The Professional Touch: We strictly advise against DIY measurements. Please visit a professional tailor or seamstress.
The Foundation: Wear the specific undergarments you intend to wear on your wedding day. Different bras can change your bust measurement by 2–5 cm.
The Height: Your “Hollow to Hem” measurement is the most critical for your gown’s length. Always measure while wearing your wedding heels.
II. Technical Requirements for the Tailor
Unit of Measure: Please record all data in Centimeters (cm).
Tape Tension: The measuring tape should be flat against the body—snug enough to stay in place, but loose enough to fit one finger underneath.
Leveling: Ensure the tape is perfectly horizontal around the bust, waist, and hips.
III. Essential Measurements Breakdown
Full Bust: Around the fullest part of the chest and across the shoulder blades.
Natural Waist: The smallest part of the waist (usually 2.5 cm above the navel).
Full Hips: The widest part of the hip/seat area.
Hollow to Hem: From the center of the collarbone straight to the floor (including shoe height).
Shoulder Width: From the outer edge of one shoulder bone to the other across the back.
